A Blank Mind

Red stripe after red,

white stripe after white.

It tends to get old after a fight.

Green eggs,

green ham,

I wondered where he thought he would be going in life,

this Sam.

A cat and his hat,

the hat would be shredded,

and the cat would be torn.

The kids beheaded.

Right from left,

left from right,

the only thing the writer could write.

A flash of freedom,

he can get out,

but he forgets it all

and writes about a trout.

Blue, red, big, and small,

four little things

he includes them all!

A couple of things the cat thunk,

in his blank mind

he thought about an elephant's trunk.
